There is nothing wrong with leaving your fruits on the counter or putting it in the fridge. This answer is really depends on your personal preference. Fruits left on the counter tend to continue to produce  healthful phytochemicals when they are exposed to daily cycles of the sun. However, refridgerated fruits do not rot as fast.

Eat Breakfast Every Morning
Research shows people who have a morning meal tend to take in more vitamins and minerals, and less fat and cholesterol. This results is in a leaner body, lower cholesterol count and less chance of overeating. To get the full benefits of breakfast, many clinics recommend a meal with carbohydrates, protein and a small amount of fat. Also remember you can not get all of your nutrients you need from a single food, eating a variety of foods is essential to good health.
Practice Good Dental Hygiene
Flossing your teeth every day could add 6.4 years to your life, according to Michael Roizen, MD, author of Real Age. In Roizen's book, he lists flossing as one of the most important daily activities that could extend life span. They say the bacteria in your mouth are somehow associated with the inflammation that occurs with plaque that blocks blood vessels and causes heart disease. Other researchers have found links between oral bacteria and stroke, diabetes, and the birth of preterm babies and those that have low birth weight.

Be A Creature Of Habit
Centenarians tend to live by strict routines, eating the same kind of diet and doing the same kinds of activities their whole lives. Going to bed and waking up at the same time each day is another good habit to keep your body in the steady equilibrium that can be easily disrupted as you get on in years. It's harder for your body to bounce back if you miss a few hours of sleep one night or drink too much alcohol. This can weaken immune defenses, leaving you more susceptible to circulating flu viruses or bacterial infections.

Drink water
Drinking water every morning will help you waken up your organs and it prepare your stomach for food. Water is an essential fluid for good health. Plus, it helps with shedding pounds. The body needs water to keep properly hydrated and individuals vary widely in how much water they need. Joints need it to stay in motion, and vital organs such as the heart, brain, kidney and liver need it to work properly.

Get Enough Sleep
According to the National Sleep Foundation, more than two-thirds of older adults suffer from sleep problems and many American adults don’t get the minimum amount of sleep needed to stay alert.
Sleep is vital to good health and to mental and emotional well-being. The NSF reports that people who don’t get enough slumber are more likely than others to develop psychiatric problems and to use health care services. Plus, sleep deprivation can negatively affect memory, learning and logical reasoning.
